![]() If I decide on switch I'll definately reach out to Andy for a chat too.Ī switchbox is easy to make if you are OK with a soldering iron, see for an example. Once I have a solid direction/decision made then i'll work on the next step. I am preferring the idea of the switch over the splitters but will also most likely trial the different DACs I have individually and see what I think/prefer. The second amp is due in the next week or two so I have a bit of think time. Yes, I have some thinking to do and work out now what will be the best way to go on the thinking I'd like the Denafrips to serve both amps. If you got Andy to make one he could custom it for say, two switchable sources if you need it and the same for outs to the number of amps you intend to switch between, so it would have a switch for inputs and one for outputs. Used in reverse as you seem to be looking at doing you would connect your source to the single indicated out and the amps to two of the indicated inputs and switch between amps with the same source. Used as a source selector it has 4x inputs for sources and on 1x out. I really sell the case to my wife and see if I can buy a new different DAC altogether like the Topping D90 which I have a peaked interest in LOL I use the Bluesound Node 2i DAC and issue is solved. I use the Oppo 205 DAC and issue is solved. I get off my ass and switch the RCA cable in the DAC depending on which amp I use. RCA switch is better option but 10x the price of the splitter. ![]() Splitters are not detrimental to the equipment but caution is advised. ![]() I wasnt sure of any sound loss with the splitter and I would guess this would yield the same result with minimal if any sound loss. So this sits between the DAC and the amps essentially and I simply assign amp 1 and 2 and then use the selector.Īll I'd need is a small RCA cable from the DAC to the box then out of the box to each amp respectively. This box doesnt have aesthetic appeal but its function is on point. I am forever flawed with the knowledge and assistance in searches etc when a question is asked! ![]()
